The former Liverpool striker’s loan agreement with Sunderland is set to expire in the summer.
“To be honest I would prefer to stay in the Premier League. If it is going to be Sunderland, I don’t know at the moment,” Cisse told Sky Sports News.
“We don’t know if we are going to stay up, but I think we will.
“But then it is down to the board to make a decision. I am waiting for a transfer or talks.
“No disrespect to Marseille or the public, because I have a good relationship with them and I still have a lot of friends there, but I think my heart is in England and in the Premier League.”
