Several clubs are reportedly tracking the 26-year-old, including Milan, Juventus and Genoa.
Guerra told TuttoMercatoWeb: “I can confirm [the report in L’Equipe], the player will leave Lyon. This is the wish of the player [and not the club].”
Guerra said, when asked why Clerc want to leave Lyon: “Motives of a technical character. He needs to find more space.
“I can’t name names, I can only tell you that four clubs like Clerc in Italy, but German, Spanish and English clubs are also interested. There are some French clubs too, but he would like to try an experience abroad.
“The player, for his technical and tactical characteristics, would be very adapted to the Italian championship. Moreover both Clerc and his wife love your country and your language.
“He has recently been in Napoli and Capri and remains enthusiastic. We know how difficult it is in Serie A, so it doesn’t mean that he should focus on one of the big clubs like Milan, Inter and Juventus.”
