The Hammers have rejected a £6million and a £12million bid from Spurs for the Welsh striker.
Collins insisted: “You’ve got to hang on to players like Craig if you want to progress.
“I’m sure everyone at the club will say the same because he’s a great lad to have around.”
Manchester City are also expected to join the race for the former Liverpool striker.
