Adams has only managed two wins in 15 Premier League games this season.
Davis said: “Tony is very different to Harry and they both have their own styles of management.
“The difference between this season and last is that we were more organised and not as attacking as we are now.
“Maybe we have been a bit gung-ho. We dominate games and the opposition seem to go up the other end and score. I’m sure our fans would rather see us win 1-0 than lose 4-3.
“Five or six wins would keep us up and hopefully we can get the first one against Liverpool as we have a good record against them at Fratton.”
