The 27-year-old sustained a knee injury during the clash with Vitesse Arnhem last weekend.
While undergoing surgery on a damaged meniscus doctors discovered that the defender had raptured a ligament.
“This is a big disappointment for me,” Nalbantoglu told the club’s official website.
“We are having a great season and then you are forced to quit.
“I’m really fed up, but my team-mates continue to show support in every way.”
