The former Roma and Inter ace joined Ascoli after his contract with Brescia expired in the summer.
The 35-year-old said: “The fans can remain calm, Ascoli has all it takes to make it.
“I have trained on my own, I wanted to be ready in case a team searched for me and therefore I worked a lot.
“I’m happy to play for Ascoli, I consider it a stimulating adventure, and I think that with a couple of weeks of preperation I will be completely available for Tesser.
“I’m a defender, but if he wants to play me in other roles, I will do it.”
