Di Canio claims Diego is better than Kaka

Di Canio believes it is ‘weird’ that Brazil coach Dunga has not called Diego up yet.

“He is the only real trequartista left in modern football, an example to follow for many. The way he moves between the lines is perfect and it is very difficult to knock him down,” claimed Di Canio.

“Diego’s technique is unique. Players such as Wesley Sneijder, Goran Pandev and Dejan Stankovic are good but they are adapted to that position.

“Kaka needs space and cannot move across the lines like Diego does. Even when it comes to controlling the ball and passing it around he is not as smooth as the Bianconero.

“It’s weird that Dunga hasn’t called him up for Brazil yet. In the past I have seen Vagner Love replacing Adriano, but Diego is a potential Ballon d’Or winner.

“However, Leo Messi is better than him. The Argentine moves like a PlayStation player.”
