Donadoni has replaced Franco Colomba, who was sacked by Parma following their 5-0 thrashing by Inter Milan at the weekend.
Donadoni had been out of action since August when he was sacked by Cagliari.
Donadoni has signed a contract that will keep him in charge of Parma until the summer of 2013.
