Donati is keen on a return to Italy and would be keen on a move to Sampdoria after Atalanta ruled themselves out of a deal.
“I do not know anything about a Sampdoria offer and for the moment I keep training hard as usual,” Donati told the Daily Record.
“But I look forward to a call from Italy within the transfer period and I would carefully consider every option.
“My target is to get back to Italy.”
