The Galatasaray forward was omitted by coach Sabri Lamouchi as he attempts to rebuild the team following a shock defeat in the African Cup of Nations last month.
Other regulars dropped were Emmanuel Eboue, Romaric,Daniel Yeboah, Siaka Tiene and Igor Lolo.
