The 23-year-old told The Sun: “I’m under contract and Southend don’t want to let me go, but the gaffer has said if a big enough club come in with a good enough offer, he won’t stand in my way.
“If the right club come in, January might be my time, hopefully.
“It would be very hard to leave Southend. We’ve had so much success with two promotions and this cup run.
“Wherever I go, it’s going to be hard to have as much success as I’ve had at Southend.”
