The Trinidad & Tobago international has agreed a new one-year deal with the option of a further year.
The 33-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire in the summer.
“We have had good dialogue with Carlos over the last few weeks and I’m delighted to confirm that we have agreed terms with him over a deal for next season,” chief executive Simon Clegg told the club’s official website.
