“Sometimes people make wrong decisions and in my opinion David made a wrong decision when he missed the Under-21 championships in the summer.
“We had a conversation after that, I expressed my feelings to him and he was left out for the Germany game.
“I was interested to see his reaction to that and it has been excellent.
“He’s done his talking on the pitch and I’m delighted to have him back in the squad.”
