But Terry is confident that England can still qualify for the Euro 2012.
England had trailed 2-0 after a brace from Tranquillo Barnetta, but a goal each by Frank Lampard and Ashley Young rescued a point for the Three Lions.
“We were after the result today which we clearly didn’t get, so we are walking away very disappointed,” he told Sky Sports News.
“They weren’t particularly good free-kicks, either of them, so it is disappointing from a team point of view.
“It is something we worked on in training. They are not the biggest of sides so we were hoping to maybe score a couple (of free-kicks) at their end, but it wasn’t to be.”
“I thought the way we played in the second half was quite encouraging and I thought we had enough chances to win the game 3-2 or 4-2,” added Terry.
“Youngy made a big difference when he came on. He looked very dangerous and obviously got a goal.
“We didn’t get the luck we deserved today but we’ve got three games left and hope to win all three.”
