Chica’s current contract with the Spanish side is set to expire in the summer.
“My renewal does not look good, it’s uncomfortable,” a dejected Javier ‘Chica’ told AS.
“The club has decided to wait until end of season to speak of my future.”.
Chica is currently behind Javi Lopez in the pecking order at Espanyol.
“I would like to continue but it would be foolish to say that [I am going to]. I have been at Espanyol for 15 years. We’ll see what happens at the end,” Chica continued.
