The Spanish side is keen to bring in the Argentine defender as a replacement for captain Dani Jarque, who died earlier this summer.
“Coloccini is one of the players we are looking at,” confirmed sporting director Planes to Sport.
“He has experience and knows the Spanish league perfectly. His profile complies with what we are after.”
