The 25-year-old teared a muscle in his right leg in last Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao. Albin was replaced just 12 minutes into the game.
The highly-rated striker is set to undergo surgery on Wednesday to correct the problem.
Albin joined Espanyol from Getafe this summer.
