The 18-year-old striker opened the scoring against Barnsley in the 2-0 win on Tuesday.
“Danny is improving all the time and learning from the first-team lads,” said Evans.
“He is a fantastic talent and can go all the way. He is so hard to play against. He has great skill as well.”
