Manchester United are close to agreeing a one-year contract with veteran defender Jonny Evans.
The 35-year-old is close to signing a deal until the end of the season, according to The Telegraph.
Evans spent time with United on their pre-season tour of the US after returning to the club where he started his career, following his release from Leicester.
The 35-year-old is reported to have impressed United manager Erik ten Hag both on and off the football pitch this summer. Evans featured for United in the matches against Lyon, Wrexham and Borussia Dortmund.
Several defenders have left United already this summer and Ten Hag has been looking for back-up options at the back.
