Moyes said: “Ronaldo has that ability to change through the gears. Maybe I’ll have to get the boys on a few motorbikes to keep up.
“We want to stop him but when you have got that level of ability it is very difficult.
“Every team has been thinking that this season but sometimes you just have to applaud what he’s done.
“United’s inter-change in every position makes it virtually impossible to detail one man for him.
“It could be Wayne Rooney on the left, or Giggs down one side and Ronaldo the other or maybe Paul Scholes coming through the middle.
“In the past they tended to play with Giggs or Beckham on the wings.
“But now it’s usually four defenders, two holding midfielders and the other four going all over the place.
“We have all been impressed by the maturity Ronaldo has shown this season as well.
“He has come out of a situation where maybe he used to go down too easily, which we all applaud him for.”
