Everton are reportedly contemplating offering former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard a chance to return to the Premier League.
TalkSPORT reports that Everton might propose a short-term contract to Lingard, who hasn’t been part of any club since departing Nottingham Forest last summer.
Lingard, who has an impressive record of 182 Premier League games and 32 caps for England, brings a wealth of experience to the table.
The 31-year-old was linked with Saudi club Al Ettifaq but remained uncommitted after his training period with them.
Everton, currently positioned just above the relegation zone, faced a ten-point deduction earlier in the season due to financial infringements.
Under Sean Dyche’s leadership, they initially surged out of the relegation zone but have recently stumbled in their Premier League campaign.
Lingard’s potential addition to Everton could provide a vital boost for the team’s survival bid.
