The Frenchman joined Everton on a free transfer from United 18 months ago.
Saha scored both goals in Everton’s 2-1 win over Chelsea on Wednesday.
Saha revealed: “I’d love to say Everton could win it, but that’s not going to happen. Chelsea are very strong, but I think United are better – and I would be delighted if they won it. I’d prefer that.
“I still keep in touch with a lot of them from United, especially Patrice Evra. And Wayne Rooney and Owen Hargreaves are on the phone a lot.
“They’ve got a really good bunch of guys. I know I will be getting a lot of calls now, and it is a big boost for United. But the main thing has to be Everton, and taking us as high up the table as possible.”
