The 24-year-old revealed: “Hearing Real Madrid were interested in me is probably the strangest thing that’s happened to me since I left Wolves.
“The gaffer never mentioned anything about it but the lads had a bit of banter. They started calling me Galactico but it was light-hearted.
“I like to buy my son, Donovan, Barcelona or Real Madrid shirts but when I was linked to Real I decided against getting him their kit.
“If you do that, people put two and two together and make five.
“I didn’t get carried away but it’s great, even if they’ve just come to watch me in one game and I’ve done something right.”
