Guardiola said: “I decided the first time that I saw him at 15 years old he was destined for big things. He was in involved in the Nike Cup. I told him that in five or ten years I would be at the Nou Camp watching him play.
“He doesn’t have his hair dyed, he has no earrings or gold chains. He puts the team first everytime. He’s a great example to all players coming through the Barcelona system.”
