Gross said: “We started well and should have taken the lead. In the second half we were always under pressure but it was the fine saves from Brad Friedel which prevented us from taking the lead.
“It wasn’t a penalty if you ask me and for 80 minutes we gave a good performance and I don’t think the result was fair.
“We now have to win our two remaining two games or we won’t be going any further in this group.”
