The 32-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with Mainz and will join the club when his contract with FC Copenhagen expires this summer.
“Zdenek Pospech is a technically skilled player, a real fighter and he has a great runner’s heart,” said Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel.
“In assembling our squad we look specifically for a balanced mix of young and experienced players. He will enrich our team with his vast international experience.”
