Fernandez has replaced Uruguayan coach Pablo Correa, who left Nancy at the end of the season.
The Ligue 1 club said in a statement on their official website: “Courted by several clubs, Jean Fernandez has finally chosen Nancy.
“This is great news for the club, who made it their priority to find a successor to Pablo Correa.”
Fernandez had also been linked with Marseille, before signing a deal with Nancy.
