Finnan has been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.
“I am convinced that Finnan will be decisive in our defence,” Espanyol coach Mane said in the Spanish press.
Sport director Paco Herrera added: “Finnan stays in Espanyol because he is a main man for the second part of the season.”
Finnan joined Espanyol from Liverpool during the summer.
