The Viola have previously expressed their interest in Juan, Philippe Mexes, Matteo Brighi and Alberto Aquilani, all from Roma.
“Fiorentina have been following Taddei for a very long time,” the agent, Alessandro Lucci, confirmed to Violanews.com.
“The player has a contract with Roma that expirers in 2010, and he is considered to be very important by the club. He has a great relationship with the coach [Luciano] Spalletti as well.”
He added: “I have spoken to Corvino about Taddei, but Fiorentina are yet to make an official move for the player, because he is no longer on the transfer market.
“Also, there have been other teams that have made progress for my client’s signature, but Roma has refused all of those offers to this point.”
