Cassano is set to leave Sampdoria as his contract with the club is in the process of being cancelled by the club.
“I don’t know where he will go or whether he will join a big club,” Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino told La Repubblica.
“He was close to joining us in January, but he is no longer of interest because we have [Adrian] Mutu.”
