Flamini is on £25,000 a week but is keen on a new deal that will double that amount.
The former Marseille midfielder almost quit Arsenal last summer.
Flamini told the Mirror: “I am a free agent in January – but I am happy here, so we will see. I have been talking a bit with the club.
“We have so many games in December, it is very difficult to concentrate on this kind of thing as we are playing every three days. I am just focused on every game. As for the contract, we will see a bit later.”
