Atletico managed to beat Fulham in the final in Hamburg, thanks to a extra-time winner from Diego Forlan.
“We deserved the win, it was a pity for them but we have won the title and will enjoy it,” said Forlan.
“I really lost my mind when I scored the second goal as I knew that meant the title.
“I think only in time will we realise what we have done.”
