The 19-year-old, who is the younger brother of former Fulham forward Collins John, was last year linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United.
“First I want to do everything I can to make FC Twente champions again,” he told NUSport.
“Then I’ll know the time is right to switch to a big English club.
“Through my brother Collins, I know how beautiful it is to play in the Premier League.”
John’s current contract with Twente is set to expire in the summer of 2014.
