Spanish newspaper Sport reports that Begiristain is being lined up to replace Chelsea football director Frank Arnesen.
Arnesen’s contract with the Blues is set to expire at the end of the season.
Begiristain has reportedly accepted an offer from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to move to Stamford Bridge.
