Lippi has been linked with the job as Roma coach, if the club decides to axe Claudio Ranieri.
“I am here as a representative of the football world, because I have been and continue to be a part of it,” Lippi said during a charity event in Tuscany.
“Of course I made some mistakes, but people have forgotten all the good work done in the past, which was only four years ago.
“I will return to a bench. I don’t know where yet, but I certainly do not feel that I am an ex-Coach.”
