Sky Sport 24 reports that PSG have agreed a fee of €7million with Juventus for the former Liverpool midfielder.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has previously confirmed that they are looking to strengthen their midfielder in the summer.
PSG have already signed Jeremy Menez from Roma, Blaise Matuidi from Saint-Etienne and Milan Bisevac from Valenciennes.
