Baptista joined Roma from Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.
Cerezo told Il Corriere Dello Sport: “There have always been plenty of Brazilians who have done well at Roma.
“Julio has great strength and physical abilities as well as technique and it’s just a matter of time in my opinion.
“I think that he will be come a great player at Roma.”
He added on Cicinho’s situation at the club: “Cicinho knows how to play football. He has been at Real Madrid and that is a club that you don’t normally end up playing for unless you are strong.
“He was outstanding last season and I don’t have any doubts on his ability.”
