Fulham chasing Swedish duo

Roy Hodgson tried to sign Safari while he was in charge at Craven Cottage and new manager Mark Hughes is looking to strengthen his squad in January.

FC Basel defender Safari is expected to be the target of a second move in January, according to club vice-president Heusler Bernhand.

“They wanted to buy him last season and, from what I’ve heard, they are still interested,” he told Expressen.

“They wanted to buy him before last season started, but we told them that we weren’t interested in selling. That has now changed.”

Trelleborg have also confirmed that the Cottagers are keen on their goalkeeper Noring.

“Fulham have been studying Viktor. He will leave sooner or later,” Trelleborg chairman Per-Anders Abrahamsson told Expressen.
