He told fulhamfc.com: “There has been a big turnover of players this summer and for things to click right into place straight away isn’t always easy.
“Having said that, with ability that we’ve got there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be looking at being in the top half of the table as a starting point and obviously if we reach that then why not push on from there?
“I think there is a big group of teams who are on an even keel fighting for those European places. Perhaps that’s a bit too much to ask but why not aim for that? We have a squad that is building together, we have a really good blend of youth and experience and we’re confident of doing well as a team.”
