He said: “Arsenal’s problem these days is that we are dropping points against the smaller teams. We never lose when there is something at stake against the big clubs.
“But we tend to relax when we play the little sides. Maybe we don’t put enough pressure on ourselves.
“You need more than just pretty football to win matches – and we have to fight a bit more.
“It is going to be very difficult for us to win the title, although it is still there in a corner of my mind.
“We are way behind and it is always very hard to stage a comeback in the Premiership.
“We will continue to hope. Manchester United and Chelsea could slip up and we will try to take advantage. It is down to us to not drop any points.”
