The 27-year-old joined Udinese from Spanish side Racing Santander in the January transfer window.
“As soon as the call came from Udinese, I accepted immediately,” he told a press conference. “For me it is a unique opportunity.
“For me this is a challenge. I’m not frightened by the Italian league, football is the same everywhere and you have to earn a place in the team.”
“I was ready to play from the moment I signed,” he added. “When you arrive in January, it is normal to find a team that is already established. Now it’s up to me to prove my worth and repay the faith that I have been given.”
