Portanova has previously been linked with a return to Palermo, but his agent has denied that such a move will take place.
“There was some talk a while back that my client would return to Palermo, however that won’t be the case for now,” the agent Matteo Materazzi affirmed in an interview with Stadionews.it.
“I’m sure Daniele would be happy to return to Palermo, but again, for now there is nothing, even if Zenga is an admirer.
“As for Genoa, yes they have contacted us, and we are currently assessing our options and the situation.”
