United are the only team in the Premier League who remain unbeaten in all competitions this season.
“Everyone’s saying we’re not playing that well and there’s no way we’ll win the title this year, but we haven’t lost yet and we’re still up there,” Gibson told the club’s official website.
“I don’t think we’ve been playing badly, but I know we can play a lot better. And when we start playing well on a consistent basis… well, things are only going to get better.
“Nobody in the squad’s worrying too much – it’s only November, after all.”
Gibson also commented on his side’s draw with rivals Manchester City on Wednesday.
“It was a frustrating result,” he added. “I think we deserved to win. We played the better football but we didn’t penetrate enough in the final third.
“In a way it’s frustrating to come away with only a draw but when you consider we didn’t really work the goalkeeper very much I think we also have to hold up our hands and accept a point. We were pleased with how we played, though.”
