Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has hinted that they could make a new move to sign Gignac.
“I plan to go to Lyon,” Gignac told L’Equipe.
“Lyon are seeking me. At 23-years-old, I am compelled to take this offer from them. Some time ago, I said that OL would be the only club that would make me think [of leaving]. By chance this offer comes in. I cannot remain indifferent.”
Gignac signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2012 earlier this year.
“I thought it was in order to stay in Toulouse,” he admitted. “I say this with my heart, I felt good. I found a balance. I love the fans [and] the club.
“I never imagined a great club would buy me up. Now Lyon will. It is said that the train never passes twice. For me, [Lyon are] the biggest club in France, every year playing on the European stage. I really want to try and win the title and play in the Champions League.”
