Gomez admitted last season that he wanted to leave Spurs, but he has now changed his mind after Harry Redknapp left the club.
Gomez said: “It was a hard season.
“I was desperate to leave. Now things have changed as the manager left last week.
“I want to return to the national team but I have to play first.”
