The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract with Lyon.
The striker will cost Lyon around €13million, taking the club’s spending spree past €70million this summer.
“I have come here to win the title back for Lyon,” he said.
“This is one of the six or seven biggest clubs in Europe. I wanted to come here several seasons ago but it wasn’t able to happen.
“I thank the president (Jean-Michel Aulas) and the staff for putting their confidence in me. I’ve made the choice with the goal of making the step up. It was the best choice.”
