The new deal will keep the 24-year-old at Bordeaux until the summer of 2013.
A club statement today read: “Yoan Gouffran has signed a contract extension for the club. Initially under contract until June 2012, the number seven has committed for another season and is now under contract until June 2013.
“This is good news for the club and the player. Yoan is continuing his recovery following a broken ankle. He will not play again this season but should be fully fit in July.”
