Barca managed to beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions League final, in Guardiola’s first season in charge at the club.
Barca also became the first team in the Spanish history to win the treble.
Guardiola is the sixth person to win the title both as a player an coach.
“Both are special,” he told Sky Sports.
“As a player I was young and it was first Champions League for the club, for now to get the treble [as manager] is marvellous.”
Guardiola admits he did not expect United’s good start to the game.
“I didn’t expect that,” he said.
“Manchester pressed up high and they pressed four against four and caused us problems but the goal from (Samuel) Eto’o – it was marvellous for us,” he said.
“After that we kept possession and we tried to get the second goal, which we did.”
