The Greek star has admitted that the German side have made an enquiry about his services.
Benfica are ready to sell the midfielder and could let him leave the club for around €4million.
“I am happy at Benfica, but I have been here for three years, I have one year left on my contract so we will see,” Katsouranis said.
“I confirm I have an offer from Hamburg and I would like to go, I have no problems in admitting that.
“Hamburg are a big team but for now there is nothing certain. We will see in the next days.”
