Hangeland still has 18 months left on his current deal with the Cottagers, but manager Martin Jol revealed that they will open talks with the defender about an extension in December.
“I’m keen to talk,” Hangeland told the Fulham Chronicle.
“There’s been some speculation linking me with other clubs but I’m not sure how concrete it was.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Fulham and loved every minute of it.
“Maybe there’s more to come.
“I just want to keep doing the best I can for the club.”
Hangeland has in recent months been linked to a number of top clubs, including Arsenal.
